The shadow of an old chestnut tree casting down onto the bridge over a dried-out creek along the Coach-house by Chateau de Lapalisse... making the hot summer afternoon feels even hotter... 3 months later the warm summer atmosphere was still with me while I was painting this in my studio in Richmond.
